What is the capability of the Thetford ovens?
I recall reading on a thread about second oven shelves that a member used the trivet from the grill pan at the bottom of the oven as an alternative but cannot find it now so here is a new question if anyone can help.
I have a Thetford dual fuel oven/hob and when we have tried to cook food sat on the bottom of the oven with something on the shelf higher up the bottom item has not cooked. We then tried the above suggestion and again the bottom item did not heat properly
so we had to swap products around to get them all cooked.
I want to use two shelves if possible but won’t waste our money on another shelf if it will not provide the desired benefit. The oven cooks really well using one shelf only. Any help will be much appreciated as we are off to Scotland in Autumn and will no
doubt use the oven a lot.
Q1. I did wonder if the oven only came with one shelf because it was not capable of heating items on two shelves, anyone know if this is the case?
Q2. Is it possible to cook on two proper shelves at the same time and get satisfactory cooking temperature on the bottom shelf?
