Omnivent in bedroom?

I am hoping someone on here has one of these to give me some advice on how well, they work or are they a waste of money for this purpose? We have a fixed bed above a garage with the roof vent directly above the bed and I was wondering whether fitting an
Omnivent would enable us to use the fan to cool us down at night. Do they work and are they quiet enough in operation to sleep?

We have a very good 12v fan fitted to the wall but it is simply too noisy to be able to sleep and I am having real difficulty finding quiet running similar fans.

I have searched the forum and there are many comments about the omnivent but I cannot find anything to answer my query. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
