Uprating MTPLM Weights
Morning Folks,
Been doing some reading about uprating weights, we have a Bailey Senator Louisiana with a MTPLM of 1695kg but it had movers fitted when bought which leaves very little room for payload. Surley there is more to uprating a weight than just a new plate from
Bailey and increased tyre pressures??? If we want to change anything at work to an artic there is a raft of construction and use regs and retests at VOSA. Has anyone uprated their payload and what was involved in the process? I'm lucky enough to have a weighbridge
at my work so can always check weight. My towing limit is 1800kgs but thinking even an extra 50kgs would be good don't really want to remove the movers but guessing they are quite heavy. Any thoughts or experience would be most welcome, many thanks in advance.
