Go Outdoors have an extra 15% off everything until 29th March. We are looking for a new leisure battery and there are some good deals. Considering a Cadac also.

We've had advert leaflets through the door too. Probably worth a visit, have aquired several bargains in the past, including a coat for £25

Even with the cost of the discount card at £5 there would still be a reasonable saving.

It's a pity the staff don't know about their extra discounts ! We bought a set of towing mirrors last Thursday and there was no mention of extra discount. We got the C&CC magazine in on Friday and full back page advert for GO Outdoors stating extra 10% discount
off all year for C&CC members. As the magazine must have been in the post when we bought the mirrors I am a bit miffed that the staff member who served us didn't ask if we belonged to either of the clubs. Kellysmum

looking for a battery try the battery megastore, then if cheaper than Go outdoors approch store who will price match and an extra 10% also the CC club 10%.

did it for clothing and saved £90 on go outdoors asking prices.

I got  a Cadac Sfari Chef 2 today with the 15% discount - don't think you can use the additional 10% C&CC discount with it.

I'm always wary in Go Outdoors as the RRP prices are often inflated in my view, and the discount card just brings them down closer to what they are elsewhere. But the Cadac Safari Chef was £99.00 and I got it for £85 - very happy - great piece of kit

Funnily enough, we bought the Cadac Safari Chef 2 as well! Paid £2.99 for a metre of hose, then went to Tiso and found they had a metre of hose and two jubilee clips for only £2.00!!!!

As for a battery, popped into Halfords and they had discount on their leisure batteries plus my husband was able to use his trade card so double discount there! Bargains galore.

I got the EN417 Cadac regulator so I can use the disposable cartridges - don't want to have to carry around another biggish gas bottle as I don't have an external gas point - so saved money on that tooHappy

Sorry, I think that you are bing a little hard on the staff. Why should staff in any shop ask whether any/every customer is a member of any club? Surely it is up to the individual customer to be aware of any discounts which membership brings.

Last year as a CCC member I receivd an e-mail from CCC with a printable voucher for the 10% discount at Go Outdoors. I printed it and have never had a problem using it in our local store. This year I printed the current voucher from CCC website. I noticed
in the advert on the back of the current CCC magazine that the discount is "valid on production of your Club Membership or discount voucher". Last week I showed my CCC membership card to obtain a discount.

(I hope I haven't offended you with my post)

i bought this along with a en417 regulator ,I then used a drill around the thread housing to widen enough to take the regulator and now use the much cheaper aerosol type butane cannisters ,I also use it with my hiking stove
