I wonder how many of us joined the CC as a result of reading CT/discussions.  I for one didn't,  I didn't know anything about CT until after I joined and stumble on the discussions link.  My belief is that very few read discussions then decide to join. 
If this is the case why are the CC determined to keep an open link?
