booking amended to non-awning pitch by the club

Has anyone else been notified by the club by letter that their booking has had to be amended from an awning pitch to a non-awning pitch?  I had a letter arrive today from CC telling me they had amended my booking.  When I enquired why they had done this
they said it was health and safety reasons.  The site is Sutton on Sea and I am taking my family so needed a pitch with awning.  I did not find the attitude of the person I spoke to very helpful. He told me to book elsewhere that was able to take an awning
- better said than done when the booking is for August! WHY has the CC left it so late to discover this? Why not do this at the start or end of the season?  Sorry for the need to rant - but am not very happy
