We have a 2015 elddis avante 550 and finding the blower heat system quite noisy. It's been checked and not faulty but we can't leave it on overnight so winter touring is not great. Also struggling with lots of condensation.  Anyone else having similar problems?

I presume that you have set the fan speed lower or have you used automatic setting (assuming that it is like blown air I have used in the past).

according to the Elddis web page, thenheating system is a Whale blown air unit with a 'quiet night time setting'....

The Whale heating system is the Propex sytem that has been in production for years ,and we had one in our first camper 1989(very noisy) the latest sytem is available for fitting underfloor (a bit quieter)we had it fitted to our last previose c/van,but even
    on low it was "audible"

As for condensation it is dificult to not get some at this time of year in most LVs

Does that mean it is noisy in the daytime?  Undecided

Never had condensation in the last 20 years. We have caravanned more in December in the last 9 years and no condensation.

We have the heating on it's lowest setting overnight just in case the temperature drops but it is loud enough to wake me up. Never had this issue before with any other vans It's noisy at higher settings but can live with that in the day

We found the same in our last van,(it is not fitted in latest version)

We bought a couple of small oil filled radiators a 700w and 500w and used these one each end of the van, with extra 240v sockets ,  so rarely used the Whale system unless very cold then just used the low setting as added heat, during the day,

Sorry if what we did is not good news but that was our solutionFrown

At its lowest setting, I found it had a very irritating high pitched whine. So I left the fan on the next one up. Not silent but less annoying. I did find a forum where users were talking about a muffler supplied by Whale. So have you thought to contact
    them?

Thank you! Yes, it's just like a high pitch whistle. I will contact whale regarding a muffler. In the meantime, we have a low energy plug in fire to use. Happy caravaning people
