Probably not many have heard of her, but she was another WW2 heroine who ran the Shelburne line to help allied prisoners to escape.  A very brave lady who took many risks.  Anne died at the age of 97.  RIP Anne, lets never forget the debt we owe to you and
your colleagues

Sad to say I've not heard of her.  No where near enough credit given to what women did generally in either world war .  I suppose that the running of escape lines like what went on at Bletchley couldn't be talked about or broadcast too soon or widely.
We owe them all a great debt and thanks.

Thanks for bringing her to our attention. Is her death recent? Was she local to you?

Yet  another  of  those  'Unsung  heroines  &  Heroes'  without  whom  European  history  would  have  been  oh,  so  very  different.

    R. I. P.  and  Thank  You.
