Feeling Lost
My caravan usually sits outside on the drive which is useful as I am doing her up from a very sad and tired 90s state. However, CarrieRavaVan is currently in intensive care at Wallace Caravans in Kirkcaldy while they try to work out the list of things that were wrong with her when Kirkcaldy Caravans sold her to me (see Dodgy Dealer thread in Caravans) and endeavour to put them right.
It just feels wrong not having the van sitting outside! I'm usually in and out several times, hanging new curtains, doing some painting or measuring. It feels odd with a carrier bag or two of items dumped in the sewing room, having come out of the dishwasher and waiting to go back into the van kitchen. I want to see how the new curtains look NOW not carefully hang them out of the way till I get the van back.
I scored a 12v TV/DVD and double metal steps with rubber treads for £50 for both on Gumtree this afternoon from someone who's giving up caravanning and I'm dying to see if the steps help my old lady into the van easier as well as where best to put the TV. I also miss using her as a hideaway from the chaos of the house.
I want my grown-up Wendy House back!
