Toilet blocks on Club Sites
I’ve just seen the results of a poll asking how many members would like toilets on CLs. About 75% were not interested.
Given that there were only 79 votes, it’s not necessarily a representative sample. The CL community will also tend to be a different one from that of Club Sites. However, it does make me question the desire for such facilities. I’d rather more money was
spent on quantity rather than quality, and prefer the simple £12 a night types even though I use both.
It struck me that one good way of confirming demand might be to charge separately on some sites; where keyed access is in operation. If the charge was in relation to the previous year’s running cost, the Club could soon get a measure of whether members felt
the facilities provided are worthwhile or not.
