I think they just press ctrl alt & del or just switch the server on and off.

which by a strange co-incidence is what out IT staff tell us when we report any problem.

Probably just security updates and bug fixes for the important part of the site, the online booking, that have arisen due to changes in operating systems. Certainly every time Apple update iOS I get a rash of app updates to sort out problems, most of which I don't even know about. I don't suppose that sort of thing can stop, even if they are working on a new all singing and dancing web site.

Somewhat ironically, a thread entitled "The promised new forum software" comes up as "Error Occured".  Says it all really.

Write your comments here...Most definitely does.CY,  This forum software is becoming "Stranger and Stranger"  -- We are well used to threads being closed but this one has totally disappeared from the system. .

    Surprised

    Hi K,

I noticed the disappearance as well, I can assure you none of the Mods have Deleted User it! I've mentioned this to IT to see if they can solve the problem.

It is likely that the ongoing work to the website will lead to the occasional error page on CT, hopefully all will be well with the new website. More information on that to come soon!

.  The author of any thread should always pop on to make sure that no-body is hijacking or sabotaging the discussion. I can say that nobody had tried to spoil the thread or insult anybody for their views by 11.00 hrs when I left on a shopping trip.

When I returned later there was absolutely no sign of the thread.   "Curiouser and Curioser"  Lets hope Rochelle can  find out what happened to the software as there was a lot of good ideas put forward by those who contributed to the thread.

but here is not a website! This is a forum, so why should this keep going down when the website goes down??
