Anybody having any issues with their 530 in particular noisy floor - ours is that noisy to the point that it is embarrassing walking about in the evening, not only that we also have a list of other faults, as follows;

  1. Grill not staying lit and fan never worked didn’t realise it had a fan until 1st repair was done – this was only temporarily fixed as again it has stopped staying lit and fan not working for a 2nd time
  2. 1 Gas ring would not light and stay lit - fixed
  3. Hot water in shower needed to be calibrated as water was scolding hot – temp fix still requiring further adjustment
  4. TV Aerial – poor – not fixed
  5. External TV point – never worked – not fixed
  6. Door handles/catches
  7. Kitchen hob – screws keep coming loose
  8. Microwave loose
  9. Kitchen sink leaked twice - repair had to be done by myself mid holiday
  10. Gaps appearing between walls and furniture i.e. teaspoon handle can be dropped between back of cooker and the wall.

any ideas what could be causing the noise?

we have been told that van has been damaged by an impact i.e. pot-hole could that cause the floor to become noisy?

the side of the van on passenger side has dropped that low you can barely get your fingers between the wheel arch and tyre, what could have caused this and again should this be happening to a new van?

and is it acceptable to have so many faults in a van that is still under 2 years old?

Eldiss seem to make a habit of blaming potholes for problems. Frankly they know potholes exist in numbers on our roads and the caravan should be able to survive anything likely to be encountered. You need to be firm and not be fobbed off by that rubbish.

You can try the clubs Legal Helpline who shoild be well up on helping with faults.

If you used HPor a credit card when purchasing then you can also claim against the credit provider.

Have a look at this months Practical Caravan and see who came bottom on customer satisfaction. It won't help you but it might be a warning to others.

We are standing our ground, we feel that it is not acceptable to have a new van that has been at the dealer since September 2015 when it was only purchased in April 2014 - it cant even be towed as the wheel is practically rubbing against the wheel arch -
it is not fit for purpose nor is it showing any durability i know the roads arent like bowling greens but were not towing over farm or forestry tracks.  just thought i would get some other opinions, so thanks for responding

Ask the dealer were your van is if the rubber buffer pads have broken up, they are on each end of the axel by the U bolts, I have been told it can happen by a caravaner who had them break up on one side and his van also dropped onto the wheel.
