Latest Activity -I Like, I Like !!

Does clicking on the 'Like' button on a post give points towards stars?? 

Often I click on the 'Club Together' button to see latest postings. Also, sadly, all I see is paes and pages of individual posters going through a topic clicking all the 'Like' buttons!!
