stabiliser bar problems

I have a blade type stabiliser bar, on several occasions the stabiliser bar has come away from the holding bracket on the caravan whilst cornering. When this happens the blade  then starts rubbing on the floor requiring me to stop and on often busy roads
to put the stabiliser bar back on the caravan. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
