Technical help - Towing electrics

Help please?

Im normally ok with vehicle electrics (Basic stuff) but this one has me stumped.

The LH (NS) indicator is playing up (Off/On lol). No in seriousness when I first plug the 12N plug into the car socket the indicator works for about 30-40 seconds then stops! I’ve stripped down both of the 12N sockets and it still does the same.  I’ve taken the indicator lens out of the car (KIA Sorento) and the splice (Although messy) is all correct, no broken cables).

 

I’ve looked under the front seats (Abbey County Oxford 2000) and the cabling inside looks as good as new.  RHS is fine. 

The other LHS bulbs all work (Reverse with 12S) fog brake etc, its just the indicator that is playing up.

 

I replaced the complete light cluster on the van in case it was a bad earth or just corrosion. But it has made no difference.

    Is the car's flasher unit capable of driving the extra trailer indicator?

    Sorry I dont understand? The RHS works fine - its the LHS taht works when you first plug the 12N socket in, but then stops after 10-30 seconds

    Richie Sorry cant offer any advise, however have you tried posting on the Kia owners site?

    Found the issue - Its the beeper unit (Inside the RHS indicator lens on the Kia). When you wiggle the beeper unit the indicator comes on.  Im guessing this is an easy replacement.
