After 11 years of caravanning with very few problems, we've had our two year old Swift Challenger 580 SE stolen today in broad daylight From where we store it in the village of Fen Drayton in Cambridgeshire.

The most galling thing is that we came face to face with one of the scumbags! He knocked the door and being surprised to find someone in, asked if he was in Histon. This is a village about 10 miles away from the actual location.

After sending him on his way, my wife and I realised something wasn't right and thought he had been thinking of burgling the house and made a point of telling my wife's father in law to keep his eyes open.

Four hours later we got a call to say our caravan was gone. Hitchlock jemmied off, wheel clamp cut off, alarm ignored. Will the tracker work? We'll see!

so, if anyone saw a small dark blue 4x4 (Suzuki Vitara I think)...not a good towing match for a challenger 580 SE....towing my Swift Challenger in the A14 St Ives, Cambridge area this afternoon, please let me know.

Although the Police took details and offered an incident number, it seems that they don't come and investigate as a matter of course any more.

I can't tell you how we are feeling right now And what we  think of these people. Well I could but will hold back for now!
