We have just returned from Abbey Wood in London. A lovely busy site. The site is as it says is in a wood....half the pitches are in the sun and the other half of pitches in very heavy shade. We arrived at 1 pm, we went around the site twice before we saw
a sunny pitch which was about the last one. I don't do trees as I have seen large branches fall on cars and caravans making them a right off  (Edinburgh site for one).

We were very annoyed to see three caravans leave at 7pm to 7.30 on the evening off prime sunny pitches. We watched quite a few people in the afternoon arriving after us driving around again looking for pitches
not under trees.

When spending £100 for a 4 night break arriving 1 pm you should have access to any pitches which are free after noon and everyone should depart at 12 noon
or move the caravan to a night area or a grassy area off the main pitches. This happened other days also. Do these people pay any extra to stay later?  It is very unfair and inconsiderate.  Rules are there for everybody To follow..or are they!
