12 months was not long enough. Looking at the initial impact it looks as though it was lucky not to jump the barrier into oncoming traffic.

Failure to supply a sample of blood suggests there might have been a suspicion of alcohol intake.

He was driving like a mad man and it's fortunate he didn't involve another vehicle.

It looks to me he was high as a kite on drugs. Sentence should have been longer 12 years at least, could have killed a few people. Take his licence off him for life. No sympathy for him not from me anyway.

I too suspect he was high on drugs from reading the local news report.  Just glad it's his own vehicle damaged and nobody else was involved.

So lucky no one else was injured.  Can't help wondering if it was his Motorhome if he had to steal a charity box.  Undecided  Grrrr

Just seen it on the BBC local news. Scary stuff, a miracle nobody was killed.

Just watched the clip, was he mad, bad or just plain stupid ?

Was it his motorhome ? Or had he stolen it ?

Get angry when stupid drivers blame their Drug or drink consumption for their actions...double their sentence if either are proved.

Totally brainless driving. He deserved all he got and difficult to understand what he thought he was doing.

No report of it being stolen and I think he took the charity collection box to fund his habit as they say so he probably had no real notion of what he was doing at the time of driving.

Perhaps the reason he crashed ,was that he was waving to another M/H coming the other way SurprisedUndecided

My goodness! Horrific! That was down to excess speed. Looks like he was already getting into a snake when he passed the car that was videoing him. I bet no one wanted to remove his underpants! No sympathy at all. Should have thrown the book at him and the key away!
