Nearside tyres get more knocks.

just had the caravan serviced.  The nearside tyre was delaminating, the offside tyre was ok.  Both tyres are the same age and size and make.  Both have done the same mileage.  This got me wondering.  I think that nearside tyres get more knocks.  The offside
tyre mainly just rolls along a smooth road with, perhaps, only the occasional manhole cover or pothole to bump over.  The nearside tyre gets all that plus occasional kerb bumps when turning left and, if driving in areas where the road may not be too wide it
will bump over a drain cover every few yards.  Anyone got thoughts on this?  It's only a theory which has just occurred to me but it seems to make sense.
