Storage in Dorset required urgently (Warehamish)

Cool We have recently bought a caravan and stored it at a friends.  The first time we took it out, due to the angle of the entrance, we damaged the bodywork.  We are now looking for a new place, more suitable for us to get in and out of with ease, as we are not yet experienced enough to take tight angles.  A field or drive will be fine as long as we can come and go as we please (within reason of course) and will always call the day before we want to pick up our van. Looking for a reasonable price from the property owner.  If anyone can suggest a place/person we would be most grateful.

Your post has been amended in order to remove the upper case text as this is considered shouting and against our T&Cs.

Also, it's not generally a good idea to post personal details such as phone numbers on an open public forum so I'm happy to delete your phone number of you wish to reconsider.

I don't know the area well enough to be able to comment on storeage sites, but it may well be worth thinking of storeage in relation to your caravan insurance.  Some insurers may give a reduction if you use a gold CASSoa site.  Another consideration is that insurers may base their premium on postcodes, so a slightly different postcode might mean a more expensive/ cheaper insurance which you could then put towards a more secure (and often more expensive) storeage facility.

May I echo what Jill has said above about adding personal details like phone numbers.  A way around this is to get a gmail email address especially to use just for this purpose (different to your 'normal' email address) - it can then be closed down at any time.  My Club Together gmail address is in my profile, but if it becomes a problem, I can easily close it down and set up a new one.

Contact a local caravan dealer, there's one at Weymouth, the same dealer also has a branch north of Wareham, don't know the name. My ploy that I have used when we have moved house is to call them or if yu are in the area pop in and ask them,
"If we were to buy a Caravan from you, where would you recommend we store it" worked a treat for us on two occasions. They are the perfect people to ask because they are asked all the time the same question

Hope this helps  ( the village is Milbourne St. Andrew)

you are probably thinking of Lady Bailey caravans, they used to have a branch in Weymouth, but are now based in Winterborne Whitechurch , near Blandford. I am not sure where they would recommend , though they are very helpful people, so worth asking. There
is place  near Dorchester called Hogleaze Storage , they are a  CaSSOA Gold site , recommend them , but may be a bit far from Wareham.
