Green Flag ... Medical Certificate
After being taken ill while away this weekend we had to call a local doctor , he gave me an injection and some tablets that sorted the problem but left me unable to drive home. OK, my wife could drive home and we'd get Green flag to recover the caravan.
The problem arose when we contacted Green Flag to arrange recovery, they wanted a Medical Certificate before it could be sorted and wouldn't budge. Thankfully ShropDoc, the out of hours agency that covers Shropshire, were able to fix things for us and faxed
the certificate through to Green Flag. So the lesson, for those like us who didn't already know, is that if a doctor thinks you're unfit to drive get a Medical Certificate from him while he's with you. Saves a lot of phone calls and hanging around waiting
for info.
