Priming a fuel system

I own a 2005 Sorento XS and I've been reading that some of them have had a problem caused by fuel tank delamination causing the tank filter to block. It appears to be straightforward enough to check this but will I need to prime the fuel system after I've
replaced the filter?. If so, how is this done?
