Motorhome trim comes adrift

Has anyone any experience of the trim round their van coming adrift?  Ours has come off twice now on our Elddis Autoquest.  It starts above the cab on the 'Luton'. I have read that the trim gets brititle with age And pops out.  We are wondering whether to
superglue it back as replacing the lot - it goes all round the van - looks like a tricky job.
