Travelling early in the day to Devon

We are planning on Travelling from Portsmouth to the Hillhead campsite near Brixham on the Saturday of the August bank holiday with two young children,We are planning on leaving about 4am to try and beat the traffic but we have the dilemma of how to pass
a few hours whilst waiting to get in the campsite at 12pm with a caravan on the car, Does anyone know of anywhere we could stop/park for a few hours in the Torquay/Exeter area
