Shocks or no shocks ?

Ok  it seems that a lot of people prefer the ride in their tow car if shocks are fitted to the caravan being towed behind them. This makes perfect sense as there could be less push pull effect on the tow car. so yes i can see the benefit of fitting them
for towing purposes. We all know caravans bounce a fair bit, and some think this is a bad thing for towing the caravan.

BUT what about the caravan side of things, how does the body of the caravan feel now that its soft gentle suspension has been stiffened up and all those soft wavey bumps have been turned into hard short shudders ? what is the effect of the harder ride on
the fittings and fixtures of the caravan. will the shockers cause more damage to the sealant on the caravan ? will it cause more spider cracks in the fibreglass than normal ? will cupboard fittings be getting more of a bashing, will this flat pack style furniture
of the van cope with more of a shuddering effect due to shock absorbers ?. when the rubber type suspension that is fitted to nearly all caravans today was first talked about it was said to give a much softer ride than the old spring and shocker set up and
this would be a great benefit to caravans,it was supposed to be better even those fitted with coil springs and shock absorbers. so what has changed to make us believe that the rubber suspension we have now needs to go back to shocks again. ?

any opinions on this
