Layouts for new buyer

My wife and I are looking at buying our first Caravan. She has never been and I only used one when I was younger.

I have fond memories of the layout being lounge with the kitchen and bathroom in the middle, with a single seat/bench at the back that turned into a bunk bed.

We've looked at a few and aren't too fond of the fixed bed options. We ideally want a 4 berth for kids or if we go away with friends.

What are other peoples opinions on layouts? What works best for them and what doesn't?
