BPW chassis and Winterhoff hitch
We are the proud owners of an Eldiss Xplore 2014 model. We have found there are three practical benefits of this model courtesy of the BPW chassis and Winterhoff hitch. 1) The van feels much more stable when towing than did our previous van on an Al-ko
chassis. 2) The Winterhoff hitch is far easier to use than the Al-ko and requires less of our 70+ year old muscle power. 3) The spare wheel is easier to reach than it is on the Al-ko. In the light of these real benefits I am surpried to see that Eldiss
no longer use BPW and Winterhoff on their 2015 range. It won't bother us as we assume our Xplore will last us for the rest of our caravanning years. However, I do wonder why the UK manufacturers are so wedded to Al-ko and can only gues it is down to price.
