Gas regulators in 2008 caravan

I'm a MH owner, and in my gas compartment, there is a hose with a standard screw-in propane regulator.

My friend is buying a caravan off another of his friends, and he tells me there is a hose that connects to the gas - a pig tail I beleive (sorry, not overly familiar with them), but no sign of a regulator.

Do caravans work differently?  Or is there simply a regulator hidden away somewhere?
