Hard Standing.

I am looking for a tip as to how you get the metal pegs for the awning to go into the ground on hard standing pitches. My wife says my swearing doesnt help and my bruised thumb didnt help either. I use a mash
hammer for a bit of extra weight, but its only once the head of the peg is about 1 in from the ground does it start to take hold the rest is a balancing act.
