Ombudsman for Touring Caravans
Having had enormous problems with our Swift Eccles Ruby 2011 with monumental damp problems we proceeded to take on Swift and the Dealer for a replacement caravan. This we have achieved and our new caravan is being collected by us next week. This took a
lot of blood, sweat and tears to obtain our rights and I now feel the time has come for the industry to have an official ombudsman to help us in our plight. This would also help the Dealers and Manufacturers when these big problems arise. Why should our
hard earned money be spent on something that has to constantly be repaired resulting in the vehicle being out of action for several weeks if not months. Our caravan when they first tried to dry it out was away for 3 months! I feel this is just not on, we
do not buy our vehicles to constantly be back at the Dealer or the Manufacturer for repair. We are not talking small money here. What do other members feel.
