Mayday cover

I am just about to renew my RAC cover but have seen the Mayday cover offered by the CC. Could anyone give me their thoughts on which one is the best provider? Also with the Mayday cover for the premium package, could anyone tell me what the optional additional
personal cover is. It says you and your spouse are covered in any car, but it is not clear whether this is cover for if you breakdown in the car that you are travelling in  or whether it's personal cover like that in insurance policies. Ideally we want to
have recovery for BOTH our cars, regardless of whether we are towing or not.
