My caravan is serviced by a Caravan Council approved workshop, can anyone tell me if reporting errors to them is effective?

Last year the gas lead from bottle to van ( van end) was left barely finger tight resulting in a huge leak which by some miracle I smelt before it was too late.  Just after service this was.  This year I demanded reduced service bill and extra gas
checks.  Turned on gas at Easter break and leaking gas again!  Removed gas pipe and found crushed and broken seal at that end!!  Replaced hose with spare I carry and all seems well although I decided not to use it.

Do I rub their noses in it and demand proper recompense or report them?  Last year I was assured the fitter responsible had been put on a warning.  It was the same pipe I think as I like a longish one so I can use a large cylinder sometimes.

i also have an ongoing saga of the Thetford cassette that has not been dealt with properly - this year I was assured the only place it could leak was through the seal.  WRONG!  The two halves of the tank are not joined together for some reason.

i can't help wonder how much is my fault for being a Solo woman (rapidly approaching 70)!  But my life is still worth more than the measly £40 reduction on the service  bill.  At least my children think so!
