Another please remember

Was at a site over the weekend which had "personal" leccy points which were next to the pitch so only about 5 meters of cable (at most) was needed.

Quite a few caravans I noticed had the cable still rolled up on the reel.

Now I'm no sparkie...but a mate is...and he tells me that rolled up cable can heat up & then "short" so cutting out your van & possible, those on the same circuit.

He reckons you should always fully unwind your cable...even if you only need a short length from leccy post to caravan.
