Something to hide?

Last Tuesday I had my caravan serviced at home by a local qualified service engineer. While talking to the engineer I asked if he offered to accompany customers to give advice when they are looking at second-hand caravans as many other engineers offer this
service.

He said yes he does offer his services but that a major caravan dealer in our area has banned him from their site. Apparently they don’t take kindly to experts giving advice to prospective customers.

I do not know if he was using a damp meter or not but even if he was I think the customer should know the truth.

There is nothing to stop you from taking a mechanic when you are buying a car so why should a caravan be any different?
