Our very first rally and what a great day it was. The rally was the Welsh National hosted by the Gwent branch, held at the Vauxhall fields in Monmouth. The organisers arranged a number of events and so many people were enjoying themselves.

We met Cardiffian and his OH, as well as Brian J from the Gwent branch.  I can honestly say everyone involved did a great job and we had a good time.

A feature of the day was a meet & greet laid on for CT. An announcement was put out and people started to arrive. We didn’t get everyone’s names but it was really good to see people from the Wessex branch, Northern England, North Wales and Scotland. (cheers IanV8 see you in Bunree)

I didn’t get to meet Grenville Chamberlain (Chairman) this time but know he really supports CT and is interested in what’s going on. I did however get a chance to discuss some of the current issues with others who were there and will be writing to Grenville soon, to thank him for his support and perhaps share a few ideas with him.

When we left the conversation was ongoing and in typical CT fashion had strayed off topic. There were some interesting subjects being discussed and people seemed to be having fun. Coffee and biscuits were provided!

Thanks to the Gwent branch for a great day. If you can get to a rally try it, even for a day out (if it’s local to you) its good fun and you meet some nice people.

Thanks also for the CT meet, it’s great to put a face to a name and I really think it should happen again. I was reminded of a quote from one of my favourite show’s  -

“We are a community and as long as we have each other we are never truly alone.”

That’s the true spirit of CT. Laughing

(I've posted here for 'general' consideration/comment as I dont want to detract from the formal announcements on the centres, rallies & special interests section)
