caravan electrics overnight

Hi OAP/newbie here ,hope you're all looking forward to the new season.My question is ,when parking overnight in Aires or MSA do you disconnect the electrics.I have this fear that if there was a fault or we left something on overnight we could end with a
flat car battery.Is this technically possible or as t' other half says am I being paranoid.But as I would be the one to make the call  and the sum total of my French is" un cafe et in bier s'il vous. plait" it could be an interesting conversation.   John
