Blimey that is some rigout you wear when going out for the day. It must be a bit time consuming getting dressed up and then getting undressed in your cycling gear. What with getting the cycles out and then assembling them and then dismantling them again, phew. Sad

    What assembling is that?

i just open the garage door and wheel them out, ready to go.....our garage is 1.12m high so no issues with folding or dismantling.

...and to slip a pair of under troursers on.....all of a few seconds....yes, all really hard work, i sometimes wonder why we bother......all that fresh air and exercise, cant really be bothered anymore....thanks for helping me realise.Undecided

Write your comments here...Do they fit in your MH as they are then?.I am asking as I do not profess to know anything about MH.

My MH is 2,700kg and it has a Fiat 2.0 JDT engine with 88BHP.

Its very rare that I ever think "I wish I had more power".  The only time it does happen is on very steep banks.  The rest of the time, the cruise control is set to 60 and I don't think about it.

I seriously wouldn't pay money for more power - I even decided against a remap, even though I'm generally in favour of them and had my last 2 cars done.

Haha, DD, we dont 'do' lycra.....well not visible really....i do wear a pair of padded leggings under my trousers to keep warm in winter.....

yes, 80nm of torque is some serious grunt for a bike....the only problem is that the power has to stop feeding in when you get to 25 kph which is all too quickly......

there are other versions which assist upto 40kph....far safer in my book, to allow you to keep up with town/city traffic without getting swamped...

needs registration and insurance.....might check it outHappy

Surprised  Padded Leggings  BB  ??  Are  you
really   telling  us  they  are  padded  leggings  Laughing??  And  I  thought  they  were  just  Lace   Patterned
    Tights    Happy
    Wink

they have a padde arse and thinner skinned 'legs' for comfort and warmth when out and about....

however, what you are used to in your caravan is of no concern of mine, except the thought reminds me of Sunbed JohnnyUndecided

many continental vans, which have fixed beds (singles, island, transverse) use the space underneath them to create large garages which can accommodate full sized bikes or even a scooter or motorcycle.

with the double floor throughout the van (except in the garage) the beds dont need to be quite as high as one might seem.

most garages are heated, well lit, provide extra electrical points, house the charger and power supply unit in easily accessible positions, an outside shower point etc, ours also has a hanging clothes rail for outside coats and

Returing to the original question. I too was concerned about the performance of the Fiat 130bhp unit on a 3500kg chassis when we moved from a caravan to a motorhome but my fears were unfounded. We're now on our 3rd (from new) Fiat based 130bhp unit and I've never found it to be lacking in power even over the highest passes in Europe. They are amazing engines.
