When and Where should a new caravan be purchased?

I am thinking of exchanging my present caravan for a new one.

The dealers are now discounting their 2013 caravans but the 2014 models will be in their showrooms soon for the 1st of September launch.

Do you really get such a good deal on their discounted 2013 models as it appears that they give a lower part exchange price on my present van (although obviously I don't know what they will give me against a 2014 van).

Also I have often heard people say that they wait for the caravan shows such as at the NEC in Birmingham if they are going to buy a new caravan as they get a "better deal" is that really the case?'
