No Spare Wheel on New Van!

Hi - I have been an owner of Motorhomes for 20 years, but I have a question for you all. Other that the savings on weight, why are new motorhomes now being supplied with repair & go kits, rather than a spare wheel. I am considering swaping vans - and the
one that ticks most of my requirements is the Tribute 615 - anyone any thoughts ?
