Does anybody know what happens if you have made a foreign site and ferry booking using the club foiegn booking service but your membership expires (and is not renewed) before you take your holiday.

I realise you won't be able to make use of Red Penant if you are not a member, but we havent taken this out yet anyway.

Does no longer being a member when you take your holiday affect your booking in any way??

Thanks in advance.

    Afternoon MJG1959

Your overseas booking will not be affected if you do not renew your membership before taking your holiday.

You will not have to show a valid membership card at any point during your holiday, you will only need your holiday confirmation.

    Best regards

    Hazel

.....and not a word about "but we really hope you do renew your mmbership" or "I'll give you a call to discuss this".

The CC are just not in the world of commercial reality.......

Isn't that a bit unfair? I think Hazel was coming at it from the point of reassuring the OP that their holiday won;t be affected? As she works in the Overseas Section she speaks with authority on that subject.

When I worked David, everyone was a salesperson for the company.......delighting the customer by going the extra mile is the way to do it.

I still follow the same formula now, and I'm not even paid for what I do.

Thanks Hazel for the response that is re-assuring that is all I needed to know before making any decision, at least I know my booking will not be affected, that is all I needed to know.

I understand where you are coming from Ian but having had a very clear answer to what I actually asked I hope this thread doesn't turn into an exercise in CC 'bashing'.

    Thanks all.

The club are not a commercial company with all that this implies and while they have to be profitable they are there to serve members.
