Stayed there a few years ago. Fairly standard CC site, near a light airfield with quite a bit of noise especially helicopters. Was easy to travel into central London from Denham rail station, if I remember parking was free when there was more than 3 in a
car and you purchased rail tickets

For just a one night stopover it's fine. I think the toilet block has been renewed since we were there 2014

Hi, The toilet block had a complete refurbishment last year an improvement on the old one, site is all hardstandings and there is no play area. The approach road is not good a lot of potholes unless it has been resurfaced recently.

As well as local airfield you have Heathrow not far away so a lot air traffic about but a good site for a stopover.

Commons wood in Welwyn Garden City could also be a  goood stopover from Devon about 20miles further, close to A1 and still access to London if wanted, and then onto Norfolk via A1 ,A505,A11

Our only complaint would be the pitches were rather tight.

We stayed there for a few nights a couple of years ago.  Good for a stopover.  Quite a lot of nose from helicopters and some aviation fuel smells.  You can get a reasonable pitch.  Happy

Nice enough little site. Stayed briefly last October when the weather was really wet and miserable, The dog walk was knee deep in mud and unlit but still the warden insited I take our two small dogs off site for their final pee of the night... Needless to
say, we left early and there was yet another site crossed off our ever shrinking list of sites worth visiting.
