CC Black Horse Farm 'Ferry' pitch
We recently stayed for two non-consecutive nights on this Site before and after our trip at half term to Paris. On both occasions, arriving after dark. Both times we found the pitches very narrow with the peg set at the extreme back corner side of the pitch. If you can get your caravan right to the edge of the pitch there is just room for a car alongside. If you look at my photo HERE and HERE you will see the pitch the following morning. With the peg set there it is impossible to get onto it if following the direction of the traffic as you are reversing blind with an occupied pitch opposite. Also there is quite a slope to the pitch and if you did manage to pitch on the peg the caravan will be tilting even more. My point is these pitches are expected to be used when arriving after dark and the very bright security lights set high and just off to the right of the photo cast a very black shadow from the caravan over the edge of the pitch so that you cannot differentiate between pitch and grass when reversing and couldn't see my wifes directions. Does anyone in the CC try getting onto these pitches when they set them out? Paid nearly £30 for eight hours there!
