Hi All,

Bit of a newb Im afraid...

We have an Abbey with a MiRo 1085kg and MtPlm of 1295kg.

Our old faithful Mondeo is coming to the end of her life :(( and we are looking at a replacement.

We want to buy new (not interested in 2nd hand - another story altogether) and have been looking around the showrooms.

What has me puzzled is that we have just been looking at Diesel usuals like Hyundai Tuscon, Skoda Yeti, Ford Kuga etc but we kind of like the old fashioned estate tourer and therefore went to see today the new Vauxhall Astra tourer and they have a huge lead
time of 16 weeks, so...

The salesman then said for our caravan the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer 1.4i 16v Turbo SRi 5dr petrol would be perfect.

I dismissed him immediatlely saying there is no way it would meet the towing capacity of our van. But, when we went on towcar.info it said it was a good match.

Does anybody have any input as to whether this would have any drawbacks that are not picked up on this site?

My gut tells me im missing something obvious but it is a beautiful car and the Diesel range is out of our bracket.

Thanks in advance.
