While we were away in the van a couple of weeks ago our Truma regulator failed (second one!).

I bought a new one from a dealer near where we were staying (£43) and fitted it and all was well......other than the Gaslow change-over device seemed to have stopped working. I swapped the cylinders over.....sorted.

Back home, I contacted Gaslow and they said to send the change-over device back to them for checking (£3 postage).

Gaslow rang me today.....the change-over device is contaminated by oil residue and they suspect that the new regulator could also be affected (Although it is still worling). They believe the residue comes from the rubber hoses.

So......new Gaslow regulator, new change-over device, two stainless steel hoses, fittings and postage.....total bill £180!!

Still, the regulator now has a 5 year guarantee and the hoses 25 years......and the Truma regulator and rubber hoses will be going back in, if we get around to trading in the caravan.

I think I need a lie down! Sad
