Electric cable - reasonable?
The pitch we are currently on is at the end of a row. The electric point is a distance away, at the back of our caravan.
There are some tent pitches beyond that.
Just after we came back this evening, saw a car come from the tent field and doubled back to drive around our caravan. In doing so, he drove over our electric cable.
I constructed a sign from an empty wine box ( ) saying 'electric cable' and 'please don't drive over' but as it happened
I spotted the couple on their way back so, as they hesitated at the sign, I approached them and pointed out the cable.
"But we're going back to our tent" they said. "But you don't have to drive over our cable, do you?" I said. There were numerous other routes to get to the tent area.
After a heated exchange, including him saying "we don't want to fall out with you" but clearly indicating that he intended to drive over the cable again and me saying "drive over it again and we will fall out big style" he reversed and took one of the other
routes.
We could still hear chuntering and words like "ridiculous!" for 10 minutes afterwards.
Was I unreasonable?
