Water pump connector clips

Hello all, I have an Ace Award and my wife Amfista has managed to break off one of the plastic retainer clips that secure the pump hose assembly to the side of the van. The clips are a simple swivelling gate type mechanism andi have seen replacement clips
for sale on the internet for a very reasonable price. I assume that the clips just poke down the holes in the caravan wall fitting and some sort of barb affair keeps them in place. I just want confirmation before I lash out my £4.99. Any ideas anyone ?
