tow ball mounting bolts

Hi all, I am about to replace the rusting mounting plate which hold the two electrical sockets on my tow bar. This will necessitate removing the flange mounted tow ball from the tow bar. I am struggling to find any information on torque settings for these
bolts. Is the torque setting crucial ? I am replacing the bolts with proper high tensile ones. I tow with a Ford Mondeo. Any suggestions anyone?
