Hello all,I have as s light problem with my ace award. One of the outer windows at thefront appear a to be a little mis aligned. It is well clear of the centre window at the top but is almost overlapping at the bottom. It looks to me as if the mounting rail
at the top is a little bent.my service engineer says leave it alone as its not leaking. Is the mounting rail available and is it difficult to cut to size and fit? Is it possible to take it off, straighten it and refit? Any comments would be welcome, thanks.

Before you remove anything check the window is squarely placed in the friction clamp at the top edge of the window just below the rail. Normally a rubber type sandwich arrangement.

The Windows on my Abbey are the same. I don't think the build tolerances are that precise.

If it is anything like mine the window along the top slots into an inverted 'U' shaped holder and this holder then clips onto the rail. It sounds as if one side of the window has dropped a little out of the U holder. This movement would be exagerated at the bottom. You could disconect the side brackets, unhook from the rail by lifting the bottom of the window above the horizontal plane and try and get the top back into the U holder to square it up. It will be a very tight fit and if not careful damage could be caused. Is the side window rubbing on the centre window? or are the sides just out of alignment and looks odd? If it isn't leaking I think I would leave alone, unless it is so bad you cannot live with it. If you take the window out it can be fiddly getting it back, I'm speaking from experience.
