How far in a day?

I've seen threads asking about places to stop en-route to a site, in order to break up, what I thought, was a relatively short journey.

When we go to Cornwall, a journey of about 350 miles (7 hours without rushing and a couple of brief stops) I always do it in one go.

When we went to France in May though, we kept to between about 80 - 200 miles between stops (our longest leg in fact, was to / from Folkestone - about 250 miles).

How far do you go before stopping overnight?
