With the bombardment of the fake passport positings today should the CC limit access to post in the forum to members only so they can at least control who is positing and what they post?  Can still leave it open to read if they want?

I'm in the process of removing them and have alerted HQ. The only thing they were prepared to do, at the time of the last spamming attack, was to moderate first posts but it's clearly not happening now.

I used to be greatly in favour of members only being able to post but we have a few good posters who aren't members. I wouldn't want to see them barred from posting.

Can't say that its really spoilt my day

Just have patience and a 'mod' will remove it at some point, on saying that it could be of a content that might upset a few viewers (we have had it in the past) so yes, first posts need moderating or if someone wants to post then become a member.

Write your comments here...If you are calling me a liar fine.  I clicked on her name which tales you to her profile (with picture) and copied it from there.  If its out of date then fine but thats alll I can go on.

    Moderator Edit:

Please let's not start name calling.  Valda was a CT Champion but 'surrendered her badge' some while ago and, if you check her posts, is now posting as a non-member of the CC.

I am sure Dave was not calling MT a liar but this stupid emoji causes more friction than anything because it looks like it is a sneer not someone undecided.

Last word on the subject. I replied "its not on her profile photo", quote correctly or not at all, go back and read it. The emoji meaning undecided meant its in the profile but not as other members, on the profile photo.

This is the Caravan Club.  It seems strange to let people who are not members of the Caravan Club post to the Caravan Club forum.  Did I mention that this is the Caravan Club?   Members only.

I'm a Club member, have been for over 25 years, but it doesn't say so on my profile photo.

Perhaps it might be a suggestion that you make contact with the club to have your status amended below your avatar.

My understanding is that the Club decided that they would allow non-members to contribute to Club Together as a means of encouraging non-members to join and I understand that initially this was quite successful, I don't know if that is still the situation. What we have to be careful of is basing decision on a few SPAM posts forcing decisions. We have been pretty  successful at cutting out SPAM and todays incidence is now fortunately very rare. The question that should be answered is there anything on this forum that requires the confidentiallity that prevents non members joining in?
